Tourists who land at the airport of Faro, between 9:30 am and 12:30 pm this Wednesday, September 27th, they will be able to take a snapshot polaroid to “remember the story of the trip they made to the biggest holiday destination in Portugal”.

This is a way for the Algarve Tourism Region (RTA) to celebrate World Tourism Day.

«This symbolic action allows us to record the passage through the region of those who every year contribute to the notoriety and performance of the Algarve as a tourist destination. It's a way of thanking them for choosing us and celebrating World Tourism Day with those who make it happen», says Desidério Silva, president of RTA, who will be at the airport on the 27th to welcome tourists, between 10:30 and 11:00 am

Beyond the photoflyers, RTA will distribute promotional material and gifts at the counter in the arrivals area, as in previous editions of the World Tourism Day, an event created by the World Tourism Organization in 1980 to mark the sector's contribution to the economy.
