The fifth edition of the Cidade de Lagoa International Basketball Tournament will take place from the 22nd to the 24th of September, at the Nave Desportiva de Ferragudo, with 300 athletes distributed among 24 teams.
In total, 10 sports clubs will be represented: the Cultural and Sports Association (ACD) of Ferragudo, which features a team at all levels, Albufeira Basketball Club, Beja Basket Club, Tavira Basketball Club, Carnide Basketball Club, GRD André Resende, Club Baloncesto Conquero, CB Lepe Alius, in the minis, sub 14, 16 and 19 levels (male and female).
The matches will take place in the “all against all” mold, in which the playing time is divided into four periods of 8 or 10 minutes, depending on the level”.
According to the Câmara de Lagoa, «basketball has been, over the years, a bet won by the ACD – Cultural and Sports Association of Ferragudo which, investing in the training of athletes, is today a regional and national reference, in all categories'.
