This Sunday, the 17th of September, the lifeboat of Sagres rescued three practitioners of Stand up paddle in difficulties, in the Praia do Beliche area, in the municipality of Vila do Bispo.

The three victims, aged between 20 and 30, English, asked for help because they felt "not able to return to the beach", due to the current and strong wind, according to the National Maritime Authority (AMN).

The alert was given at 14:30 pm and the vessel from the Sagres Lifesaving Station, from the Instituto de Socorros a Náufragos, was sent to the site. The women were rescued and taken to Beliche beach.

"Although they showed signs of fatigue and cold, no medical intervention was necessary," concluded the AMN.
