The repaving of Estrada da Senhora da Saúde is one of the new works that has just been awarded under the “Faro Requalify”.
In addition to this, the work to improve the exterior space of Bairro dos Centenários, in Faro, and the repaving of Rua António Belchior Júnior and Urbanização Galvana. The total investment is 265 thousand euros.
The contract in Bairro dos Centenários was awarded to the company “Martins Gago & Filhos”, for the value of approximately 130 thousand euros, and “provides for the improvement of pedestrian circulation in the area, due to the existence of many people with reduced mobility in this area, the stabilization of slopes, regulation of access to car parking in the core of the neighbourhood, increased presence of vegetation and the provision of space for a rainwater drainage network and irrigation network», explains the Chamber of Faro.
The “repaving of Estrada da Senhora da Saúde and Rua António Belchior Júnior” was awarded to the company “Manuel António & Jorge Almeida” for around 70 thousand euros. This work foresees “the repaving of both roads, including the pedestrian pavements and the respective drainage”.
Finally, the contract at Urbanização Galvana was awarded to the company Candeias & Silva, for around 64 thousand euros. The work involves the «total paving of the urbanization as well as the placement of the respective road signs».
With these contracts, the Chamber of Faro he says that he continues “to carry out the previously defined plan to requalify, improve and expand the entire public space of the Municipality, in particular the municipal road network, in which there has been no major investment for almost 15 years”.
