The Algarve Regional Health Administration (ARS) started this week the process of installing 300 new computers to be distributed by the Health Centers in the region.

This measure, according to the ARS, is part of "the renovation of the computer equipment, which is being implemented by the institution, with a view to replacing older equipment with modern and more functional computers."

The equipment, acquired within the scope of the national process of renovation of the park of hardware of the National Health Service, developed by the Ministry of Health, «represent a total investment of around 164 thousand euros for ARS Algarve, and will be distributed by the three Health Center Groupings in the Region and by the institution's Central Services», he explains to ARS.

This process will be completed by next December. "As part of this process of renovation of the park of Hardware, at the beginning of this year, 280 printing machines were installed throughout the Algarve region», says the ARS.

With this measure, the ARS "intends to improve the working conditions of professionals and health teams in these units and contribute to ensuring a service with greater quality and speed, streamlining the performance of clinical and care practice in primary health care."
