The I Mostra de Handball takes place on the 24th of August, at 20:30, in Praça da República, in Tavira, and intends to make this sport more dynamic in that city and in the Algarve.
Athletes from the Clube Vela de Tavira, which organizes the initiative, will play in the city center to show their work.
Thus, athletes from the “bambis”, “minis”, “male and female children” levels will be present.
The exhibition will be open to the community, so any young person between the ages of 5 and 12 can «and is encouraged to participate». Some of the activities will be playing handball on a giant inflatable field, a goal with a precision shot or an inflatable for entertainment.
There will also be the presence of the handball mascot “O Manitas”, DJ with ambient music and the sports radar – lightning shot.

21:00 – Presentation of the teams and Manitas (Handball Mascot);
21:15 pm – Start of games;
