The Centro Ciência Viva (CCV) in Lagos will climb to the highest point in the Algarve, the Alto da Fóia viewpoint, in Monchique, to see a “rain of stars” up close. The astronomical observation activity will take place on the 11th of August, at 21 pm, and is open to everyone.

The CCV lacobrigense is counting on the presence of the Perseids, “who visit us every year in August”. According to the center, the session promises to be "very interesting", coinciding with "a period of great activity" of this meteor shower.

This activity will count on the participation of the Albufeira Astronomy Club and is part of the Ciência Viva no Verão program. Applications can be made on the Ciência Viva website.
