A concert by Ana Moura, at 22 pm, or the presentation of the end-of-the-year program, at 30 pm, are some of the initiatives to commemorate the Albufeira Municipality Day next Sunday, 18 August.
It all starts this Friday, the 18th, with a solemn session addressed to the deputies of the Municipal Assembly of Albufeira, who will be the target of a tribute, starting at 17:00 in the Municipal Auditorium.
To date and since the 25th of April, Albufeira has had 148 deputies.
On the 19th, Saturday, the “12th Proof of the Sea of Albufeira” will take place at Praia dos Pescadores, at 11:30 am. This will be an organization of the Ferreiras Football Club, which has the support of the Albufeira City Council, the Algarve Swimming Association, Albufeira and Olhos de Água Parish Councils, Marina Yatch Club and Albufeira Surf Club.
On the 20th, Albufeira Municipality Day, the official ceremonies begin at 9:30 am, with the traditional raising of flags, next to the Town Hall, to the sound of the National Anthem performed by the Band of the Sociedade Musical e Recreio Popular de Paderne.
The honor guard will be made by the Volunteer Firefighters and the Fanfarra will parade through the streets of the city.
