Are Tyrannosaurus Rex, Stegosaurus ou triceratops, in full size, and even move and make sounds. The exhibition “Dinosaurs in the city”, organized by the Living Science Center (CCV) of Faro and produced by the company Megalodon, opens tomorrow, July 8th, at the former Fábrica da Cerveja, in Faro, and will invade an abandoned space.

And the dinosaur species doesn't stop there. There will also be Deinonychus, Velociraptor, Ankylosaurus e pterosaur. All with the objective of «having a different offer during the holidays», said Cristina Veiga-Pires, director of that Centro Ciência Viva, to Sul Informação.

The exhibition will have other points of interest, such as the simulation of a paleontological excavation for children. «The idea is that they discover a dinosaur skeleton», explains Cristina Veiga-Pires. To this, add a dinosaur to paint, which also promises to delight the youngest.

The entire space will be decorated "with trees, as if they were invading the abandoned factory", he adds. Still, not only the playful part will make “Dinosaurs in the city”.

The idea is to present some research carried out in the region, for example by making known the fact that there are dinosaur footprints in the Salema beach area (Vila do Bispo), or that two new species of dinosaurs were discovered in the area. da Rocha da Pena (Loulé).

The former Beer Factory of Faro, next to Largo de São Francisco, was the space chosen to host the exhibition due to the size of the dinosaurs. The biggest one is eight meters long.

This exhibition will be open until the end of October, always from Tuesday to Sunday, from 10:30 am to 22:00 pm. Admission is paid, with prices ranging between 4 and 25 euros.
