Four French students, from an exchange program, are participating in the maintenance work of the Interpretation and Environmental Education Center of São Brás de Alportel – “A Quinta do Peral”.
The works, in progress until the end of July, include the treatment and painting of the walls of the educational farm, garden furniture and existing equipment in this space and are being developed by four French professional technical students, together with two technicians from the autarchy.
According to the City Council of São Brás, these works "will allow the renovation and improvement of Quinta do Peral, a space visited annually by thousands of young people and adults, from the municipality and the region".
The team of French students arrived in São Brás de Alportel through the Mobility Activity Experience (MAE) exchange program, based on the ERASMUS program, through a partnership with the municipality of São Brás de Alportel as a host entity.
The Interpretation and Environmental Education Center “Quinta do Peral” is a space with about 2 thousand square meters, located in the former Primary School of Peral, in São Brás de Alportel.
This Quinta do Peral “invites young people and younger people to discover or remember the values of the countryside and to collaborate in the daily tasks of life on the farm. and people with disabilities, and also for birthday parties», concludes the City Council of São Brás.
