A collision between three cars, on the EN268, in Charruada, municipality of Vila do Bispo, near the border with the municipality of Aljezur, this afternoon caused eight injuries, four of them in serious condition. The accident forced this road to be cut in both directions.
Source of the District Relief Operations Command told the Sul Informação that the alert for the accident was given at 17:38 pm and that, at 20:00 pm, “the situation was not yet back to normal”.
Helping the victims were firefighters from Aljezur and Vila do Bispo, INEM and GNR, in a total of 31 operational and 14 vehicles.
According to the same source, five of the injured were transported to the Hospital de Faro and three for the Hospital de Portimão.
