The selection tests for Portuguese candidates to participate in the Accordion World Cup will take place on July 14, at 21 pm, at the Conservatório de Música de Olhão.
This will be the 70th Accordion World Cup to be played from September 5th to 10th, in the city of Osimo (Italy).
The event is organized by the Confédération Internationale des Accordéonistes (CIA) Official Member International Music Council of UNESCO (IMC) and (NGO), together with the Italian Accordion Culture (IAC).
According to Mito Algarvio – Association of Accordion Players of the Algarve, which promotes these selection tests, the «World Cup is one of the most important world competitions in accordion, bringing together hundreds of competitors representing different nationalities».
"The selection tests intend to comply with the stipulated in the CIA regulation, admitting the most suitable competitors to represent Portugal with dignity," he adds.
