In Albufeira, there will be plenty of activities for children and young people during the holidays. The Municipality of Albufeirense is promoting programs of leisure activities during the summer, which will take place on the beach and in the pool, but also in different theme parks in the region (and beyond) and in the municipal library.
The Youth Support Office will streamline the “2017 GAJ Summer Holiday Activities” program, with suggestions for leisure and sports for various tastes. From the 26th of June until the 1st of September, young people between 11 and 18 years old will be able to enjoy activities on the beach and in the pool, canoeing, aquatic inflatables, sailing, sup, trips to Zoomarine, Aqualand, Slide & Splash, Aquashow , Alte Fountain and Isla Mágica in Seville.
This program takes place over five fortnights: 26th of June to 7th of July| 10th to 21st of July| 24th of July to 4th of August| 7th to 18th of August| August 21st to September 1st. Children aged 6 and over also have a program dedicated to them, the “Holidays + Fun = Library”, consisting of “a set of workshops that aim to explore different tastes and refine different sensibilities”, according to the City Council of Albufeira. The activities take place from the 4th of July to the 11th of August, between 10 am and 00 pm.

Enrollments must be made at the Children's and Youth section of the Library, from June 19, and are limited to 16 participants per activity.
«For the boys and girls who attend the 1st Cycle of Basic Education, there is also the program “Educação no Verão – Move, express yourself and have fun learning!” which takes place from the 3rd of July to the 1st of September, and includes activities ranging from sports (soccer, badminton, capoeira, stand up paddle, surfing, karate, swimming) to dance (hip-hop, zumba, oriental, ballroom dancing and rhythms), through theatre, among other fun, healthy and enriching suggestions from a pedagogical point of view», added the City Council of Albufeira.
