Vila Nova de Milfontes will once again host, from the 16th to the 18th of June, the FEI~TUR – National Sports and Nature Tourism Fair, the result of a partnership between the Municipality of Odemira and the Regional Tourism Entity of Alentejo and Ribatejo.
«The objective is to promote and affirm the Alentejo, and Odemira in particular, as a privileged destination for Sport and Nature Tourism», emphasizes the Odemira local authority.
The Secretary of State for Tourism Ana Mendes Godinho will be present at the inauguration of the fair, at 17:30 pm on the 16th, as well as at the colloquium on the theme “Tourism Strategy 2027”, at 14:00, at Colégio Nossa Senhora da Graça.
FEI~TUR is committed to strengthening the promotion of the most emblematic tourist products in the municipality of Odemira and the territory, highlighting activities in nature, such as boat trips on the river and in the sea, canoeing, hiking, mountain biking, diving or surfing.
The event includes presentations by accommodation units and tourist entertainment companies, an exhibition of agri-food products and an exhibition of local handicrafts, in addition to an intense sports programme.
In the gastronomic field, the local products deserve to be highlighted, both in tastings and showcookings, as in the present restoration.
From the show program, the highlights are the performances of Luísa Sobral (Friday, June 16) and Capitão Fausto (Saturday, June 17).
