Session #5 of the cycle of meetings «C2 Diálogos Cruzados», within the scope of the Science and Culture Program, dedicated to the theme “Training and Mediation”, takes place this Friday, May 19, from 10:30 am, at Centro Ciência Viva de Tavira.

Miguel Honrado, Secretary of State for Culture, and Maria Fernanda Rollo, Secretary of State for Science, Technology and Higher Education, participate in this session that aims to answer some questions: what training is provided by higher education institutions to respond to the challenges posed by culture?, how to share information between higher education institutions and cultural institutions?, what mediation work with society is developed by cultural institutions and organizations?

The cycle «C2 Diálogos Cruzados» is part of the Science and Culture Program (C2) developed jointly by those two State Secretariats, committed to strengthening cooperation and dialogue between the two government areas in order to promote “more science in culture, more culture in science”.

This initiative is based on the Government's intention to promote a collaborative dynamic between science and culture, developing for this a program based on the principles of social, cultural and heritage responsibility of cultural, academic and scientific institutions.

The meeting is aimed at researchers, students, repository managers, professionals from higher education and culture institutions, among others, and will be an opportunity to meet and debate case studies and projects promoted in the cultural sector or within the scope of scientific and higher education institutions.

Information on all C2 Diálogos Cruzados sessions is available at www.cienciacultura.pt.
