Isidoro Sousa, who was the only candidate, was re-elected as president of Olhanense, in the elections this Tuesday, May 2nd. The manager collected a total of 584 votes, which is equivalent to a percentage of 100% of votes in favour.

Club source told the Sul Informação that the total number of voters is not known, since each member, for reasons of seniority or otherwise, may be entitled to more than one vote.

The same source added that there were no blank or null votes.

This will be the sixth term of Isidoro Sousa as president of the Algarve emblem. In the elections, Filipe Ramires was reelected chairman of the general assembly, while David Cardoso will be the new leader of the fiscal council.

One of the goals of the president of Olhanense for the new term is to reactivate the basketball and futsal of the Algarve club, as he revealed to the Sul Informação.

As for professional football, under the responsibility of Sociedade Anónima Desportiva, to whom Isidoro Sousa, in the same interview with our newspaper, made harsh accusations, Luigi Agnolin, president of SAD, has already responded in an open letter. The official criticizes the climate «unbearable, created by those who run Olhanense, where no one could achieve any positive result», and the «permanent populism and incitement (“us and the invaders”) of the members of Sporting Clube Olhanense against their SAD'.
