The repaving works on Municipal Road 526-1, between Algoz and Guia, have already been completed, as announced this Tuesday, May 23, by the Municipality of Silves.
The value of the work amounted to 240 thousand euros, having been completed within the expected execution period: five months.
The intervention, which extended over almost 2 kilometers, «included the complete repaving of the road, sanitation works, creation of the drainage network, placement of horizontal and vertical signage, as well as the slight correction of the route along a 268-metre stretch, the entrance of the Algoz», explains the municipality of Silvense.
«The rehabilitation of one of the most degraded roads in the region will reinforce the quality of accessibility to the county, improving circulation conditions and road safety for residents and non-residents», concludes that City Council.
