A collision between a train and a vehicle at the Poço Barreto level crossing, in Silves, caused two light injuries, he told the Sul Informação the District Relief Operations Center (CDOS) of Faro. The accident occurred at 13:33 and forced the interruption of circulation on the Algarve line until 14:52.
The wounded are two elderly men, aged 81 and 82, who were circulating in the pickup truck that was collided with by the convoy. Both were referred to the Hospital of Faro.
The firefighters of Silves and Messines, the INEM, GNR and CP VMER vehicles were sent to the scene of the accident, in a total of 18 operational and seven vehicles.
