Celeste Santos is the candidate of the Left Block for the Municipality of Vila Real de Santo António. The party is going to run for all the municipal organs of the county and the nomination of the heads of list was decided in the county assembly held on 26th May.
In addition to Celeste Santos, who is an English language trainer, the Left Block appointed Mário Matos, retired, as head of the list for the Municipal Assembly of VRSA.
Mário Mateus, computer technician and trainer, is the candidate for the Parish Assembly of VRSA, José Ventura, Science teacher, will run for the Parish Assembly of Monte Gordo and Francisco Ramos, computer technician, is nominated for the Parish Assembly of Vila Nova de Cacela.
According to the party council, “the Left Bloc presents itself as an alternative to the disastrous policies of the last 20 years. We want an economic and development model for this municipality that is not only dependent on tourism. This, isolated, is not able to respond to the employment needs of this municipality».
The Left Block candidacy is made up of blocists and independents.
