Sotavento companies can now apply for European Union Funds. Entrepreneurship and Employment Incentive System of the Algarve Regional Operational Program. A notice of the opening of the application period for the territory of intervention of the Leeward Fishing Local Action Group was opened yesterday, May 15th, announced this entity based in Olhão.
Funds are available for the «creation of micro and small enterprises or expansion or modernization of micro and small enterprises created less than five years ago» and for the «expansion or modernization of micro and small enterprises created for more than five years».
The entities that can benefit from this measure are the micro and small companies located in the territory of intervention of the GAL Pesca Sotavento do Algarve (Faro Vila Real de Santo António), a Community-Based Local Development entity (DLBC – Costeiro).
"The aim is thus to support financing for operations that include investment and net job creation, in accordance with the criteria, rules and procedures indicated in this notice," stated the Pesca do Sotavento LAG.
