Entrepreneur's Workshop

The Chamber of Odemira is available to host projects in the pre-startup quality startup. The initiative is part of the Odemira Empreende – Municipal Entrepreneurship and Employment Program and aims to stimulate innovation, entrepreneurial spirit and creative capacity.

The municipality explains that «young companies and projects are provided with a set of offices and services, contributing to their insertion in an appropriate business environment, as well as providing the necessary conditions for success in the initial phase of their activity».

Companies or individual entrepreneurs established less than a year (or in pre-start-up phase), entrepreneurs who have a business idea or innovative project with entrepreneurial potential, or identified by OPECO - Observatório das Educational Policies of the Municipality of Odemira, young people between 18 and 35 years old promoters of entrepreneurial and creative ideas, awarded by the Espírito Empreendedor Award, and Spin-off companies, with the objective of exploring new products or services with a technological or innovative base, in partnership with universities or companies.

The facilities provided can be in a Traditional Incubator (for companies that need physical space), Nomad Incubator (in a co-working model) or Virtual Incubator (for companies that do not need a physical space, allowing them to have their fiscal headquarters and other services of Support).

In the Traditional Incubator, facilities are available at the Entrepreneur's Workshop, or in other municipal spaces.

In the last year, four companies were incubated, with the Municipality of Odemira «available several spaces to welcome new business initiatives», concludes the municipality.
