The band Orelha Negra, jazz interpreter Maria Viana and a dance show with free entry are the proposals of the Albufeira Town Council for a weekend «particularly full of culture». The autarchy has scheduled initiatives for Friday, Saturday and Sunday to appeal to different audiences, scheduled for the Municipal Auditorium and the Palacio de Congressos dos Salgados.

On the 28th, Friday, at 21 pm, the Municipal Auditorium receives the show by the Orelha Negra group, in another concert of the cycle promoted by the Albufeira Youth Support Office. On stage will be Sam The Kid (MPCs), Cruzfader (DJ), Fred Ferreira (drums), Francisco Rebelo (bass) and João Gomes (keys), a group of musicians "in love with African-American sounds", who will interpret some of the original themes that make up the band's third album. The first part of the show will be in charge of the Algarve artist Ehliu.

Tickets for this concert cost 10 euros for the general public and 5 euros for student card holders in Albufeira and can be found at the City Hall (CIAC) and at the Municipal Swimming Pools (GAJ), on weekdays, and at the Municipal Auditorium in day of the show from 19:30 pm.

The following day, Saturday, April 29, the City Council of Albufeira is associated with the World Dance Day, promoting a show that will bring together the district's schools and dance academies at the Palácio de Congressos dos Salgados, from 16 pm onwards. Hundreds of children, young people, adults and a senior class will pass on the stage of the Salgados Auditorium, in the styles of hip-hop, tap dancing, contemporary dance, ballroom and oriental dances.

Participating in this free-entry show are the Artedosul schools (Ballet and Creative Dance), Oriental Dances from Guia Futebol Clube, Ballroom Dances from Clube de Ferreiras, FUETE – Albufeira Dance Academy, Praia da Falésia Dance Academy and LUEL – Arte in motion.

On Sunday, April 30th, the protagonist will be Maria Viana, who will help the municipality of Albufeira to celebrate another anniversary, in this case, the International Jazz Day. The artist will take the stage of the Municipal Auditorium at 16 pm, accompanied by George Esteves on piano and bass by Paulo Neves, and will bring with her other "friends", namely Ricardo Carriço, Rogério Charraz and João Galante.

«As she celebrates 40 years of her career, Maria Viana misses her Portuguese audience, who never forget her and always reserve a warm and familiar welcome. After several tours abroad, especially in France, Italy and the United Kingdom, and five years at the head of Cascais Jazz Club, he returns with his warmly seductive voice, almost as a farewell, for a National Tour. “Smile – You must believe in Spring” is not only the title of this national tour, but also of the album that in 2015 he recorded live at Centro Cultural de Belém, in the cycle “Os Dias da Música”», according to the Câmara de Albufeira.

Tickets for Maria Viana's concert cost 5 euros and are on sale at CIAC and Lídia Jorge Municipal Library, on weekdays, and at Albufeira Municipal Auditorium, on the day of the show, from 19:30 pm to 21:15 pm.
