Silves Archeology Museum closes for maintenance and requalification works

The Municipal Museum of Archeology of Silves will be closed from April 26th to May 17th, for «various» works «in terms of maintenance and requalification» of the space.

Some of these interventions are the maintenance and replacement of security systems for showcases, the standardization of subtitling, the creation of a cataloging and inventory space, or the environmental adaptation of the space for ceramic reserves.

To this is added the creation of space for metal reserves and the requalification of sanitary facilities. The Museum will reopen on May 18th – International Museum Day.
