The Live Science Center of the Algarve, in Faro, will promote special workshops during the Easter holidays. From the 5th of April, Wednesday, until the 18th of April, children from the region will be able to occupy their free time while learning new things. Throughout the current month, there will also be a regular offer of science mornings, at the center's facilities, always on Saturdays.
CCV Algarve's Easter Holiday Workshops are aimed at children from 5 to 12 years old, individually or in groups (ATL). In the morning, activities take place between 10:00 and 11:30. In the afternoon, they take place from 14:30 pm to 17:30 pm (with half an hour for a snack, which must be brought by the participants).
On April 5th, the theme of the workshop will be “Animals that live in the Centre”, followed by a workshop on “Imanes Loucos” the following day. On April 7, the children will build “Bookmarks”.
The activities for occupying free time during the CCV do Algarve's school break continue on April 11th, after a break during the weekend and Monday. On that day, the theme is «Traditional Games». Before the weekend, there are two workshops well framed with the (sweet) spirit of the season, one on "Easter Eggs" (Wednesday 12th April) and the other on "Rabbits and Almonds" (day 13th, Thursday).
The last workshop of this special cycle will take place on the 18th of April, the last day of the vacation, and will have the theme "Mathematical Games".
In addition to this offer designed for holidays, CCV do Algarve maintains its Science Mornings on Saturdays, although it does not promote them during the period of school interruption. So, after a first workshop on the theme «Soaps and Bath Salts», which took place on Saturday, this offer returns on April 22, with the activity «Voyage to the moon». This month's program at the Farense Live Science Center ends with the workshop «Experiences with air».
