Zoomarine will open its doors, for the 2017 season, on the 28th of March. The park returns with several novelties such as a Treasure Island and a stronger bet on renewable energies.
In a statement, the theme park says that "Treasure Island" is a "mega aquatic fun" that is "full of children's slides, a magnificent surrounding scenery, simulating craggy rock, carved with fantasy figures and that is very reminiscent of the the pirates' lair».
Another new feature will be the “Aquasplash”, «a water battle, which promises to distribute a lot of water and do a lot splash to the delight of all».
These diversions will join the existing wave beach, flanked by water slides, Aquatube and Bodyslide.
«Also the magic fountain, the summer pools, the playground Aquatic and the already popular Harakiri and Rapid River, have now improved the already very complete Zoomarine Beach, making the entire Theme Park an even more aquatic universe», adds the park.
Another novelty for the 2017 season is the Zoomarine Express children's train, «ideal for traveling and socializing with the whole family».
Zoomarine has also reinforced its commitment to environmental sustainability and, «in partnership with DC-PV, an engineering company specializing in photovoltaic solar energy, it has built a photovoltaic solar system for self-consumption that will allow it to simultaneously save electricity and avoid the emission of 1641 tonnes of CO2 in the atmosphere'. There are 300 solar panels, which now fully cover the “Oceanus” aquarium building.
This «new Zoomarine» is reborn «enriched with better habitats for animals, a natural and stunning environment that creates memorable moments of great joy and fun, in a year when you feel like being on holiday in the Algarve» adds the note that guarantees that «the great Zoomarine's commitment will continue to be animal welfare».
«Under the guidance of biologists and veterinarians, Zoomarine residents are given exemplary care and all preventive veterinary medicine acts are practiced using voluntary medical behavior», which are only possible «fruit of the extraordinary relationship of trust shared between the species. and their coaches”, concludes the theme park.
