Four athletes from the Karate Club of Olhão secured first places in their categories at the Tangier International Karate Open, which took place in this city of Morocco on March 18th and 19th. There were more than a thousand karatekas in the competition, coming from Spain, France, Italy, England, Morocco and Portugal.

Eduardo Garcia in senior kata, Natacha Fernandes in youth kata, Filipa Oliveira in youth kata and Angelina Rodrigues and children's kumite were, among the delegation from Olho, the karatekas managed to secure first place.

Melissa Formigo and Beatriz Cadete also rose to the podium, runners-up in juvenile and children's kumite, respectively, as well as Filipa Oliveira, third in juvenile kata, all of them from Clube Karaté de Olhão.

According to the Chamber of Olhão, referees from Olhão were also present at the Moroccan Open, Luís Magalhães and João Efigénia.
