Pilot Ruben Faria, who starts 2017 with more responsibilities within the structure of the Husqvarna Rally Team, still manages to find time to dedicate himself to his new hobby, in the world of 4 wheels. And he doesn't rule out the possibility of dedicating himself to the new modality in a professional way.

In addition to the role of Team Manager, a position he has held since October 2016, Ruben is responsible for continuing to develop the new Husqvarna de Rally as a test pilot, working directly with the entire team of engineers and mechanics in the new project development department. . With these new functions Ruben Faria's agenda is quite complete.

But, in parallel and to relax a bit, Ruben Faria acquired an SSV to get started in the world of 4 wheels, foreseeing to participate in some tests of the national TT championship and test his skills behind the wheel of these new machines, which are increasingly gaining more. fans not only in Portugal but all over the world.

“Despite having stopped competing at a professional level, the team continues to trust me in the development of the new Husqvarna Rally, which makes me very excited, as I continue to play a very direct role in the team's results and successes. ”, explains the Algarve rider, who in 2013, riding a KTM motorcycle, secured 2nd place in his category in the Dakar Rally, the best position so far for a Portuguese rider in the mythical race.

“To relax a little in my free time in 2017, I decided to buy an SSV and do some competitions in the national TT championship and see if this could be a sport that I can think about in the future at a professional level. For now it's a joke, as my focus continues to be the Rockstar Energy Husqvarna Rally Team”, he added.

Ruben Faria will make his debut next weekend, 4th and 5th March, at the Raid TT de Góis, with experienced navigator Pedro Velosa at his side.

The SSV are a new car category, for UTV and small buggies up to 1050cc, which debuted at the 2017 Dakar.
