Economy Minister Manuel Caldeira Cabral will join the President of the Republic and to other "high entities" at the 1st congress of the Algfuturo Business Association, which will take place on March 18, at the Algarve Hotel and Tourism School, in Faro.
In addition to the member of the Government and Marcelo Rebelo de Sousa, whose presence had already been announced, the initiative will also have members of the Assembly of the Republic and other national and regional entities. The congress will have the theme "For the Excellence of the Algarve economy: Overcoming the obstacles and overcoming the challenges",
In all, there will be «five large panels comprising more than two dozen representatives and qualified speakers and moderators, who will analyze the strong contribution of tourism in the Algarve to the “Travel and Tourism” heading of the balance of payments and risks of impacts in the crisis region International".
"At the same time, they will point out paths for greater regional development, for the creation of more wealth, company profitability and better employability in the various economic sectors," according to Algfuturo.
In the opening session, scheduled for 9:00 am, the framing panel of the congress will be chaired by Manuel Caldeira Cabral. The President of the Republic will lead the last session of the day, which starts at 19:00.
During the day, three other panels will be promoted, one, which will feature deputies, on the theme "Trends and strategic vectors for the regional economy", the second on "Strengths and sectorial challenges: interaction of tourism with other sectors to enhance greater wealth” and a third, where the theme “Investments, financing, innovation and promotion, as factors of development” will be addressed.
