The Swedish brand IKEA and the Jerónimo Martins Group are two of the 40 exhibitors already confirmed at the “Start Work II – Education, Vocational Training, Entrepreneurship and Employment Exhibition”, which takes place from 9 to 11 March at Portimão Arena.

According to the Portimão City Council, which is once again promoting the event for the second consecutive year, the Swedish company IKEA, whose Algarve store opens on 30 March, in the future Mar Shopping Algarve, will be recruiting people, while the Jerónimo Martins Group will also be recruiting recruiting people interested in working at Pingo Doce stores in the region.

The event, which has free entry and will take place between 10:00 and 19:00 at Portimão Arena, aims to promote the dissemination of job offers and professional internships, programs and measures to support investment, vocational training, normal and vocational secondary education and higher education , provided by companies and public and private educational institutions, polytechnics and universities existing in the municipality and region of the Algarve.

Initiatives to promote courses taught by the represented educational institutions are also planned, as well as workshops and thematic demonstrations and short-term clarification sessions promoted by the companies and institutions present.
