A package, which carried around 7,8 kilos of hashish and washed ashore yesterday, January 6, at Praia dos Alemêes (Forte de São João), in Albufeira, was seized by the Maritime Police of Portimão.
That package "was packed in waterproof packaging, indicating that it may have remained at sea for a relatively long period, still presenting a high state of purity", explains the Maritime Authority.
So far there are no suspects, and the "investigations and searches will continue in the coming days, with several agents of the Maritime Police being engaged in the operation, both on land and at sea."
The seized material was delivered to the Judiciary Police.'
