Tables with 13 people, crossed cutlery, broken mirrors, salt spilled on black tablecloths and umbrellas spread across the room.

These were some of the superstitions that 26 students and teachers from the Pinheiro e Rosa Schools Grouping, in Faro, had to face, at a lunch held last Friday the 13th.

To enter the room, participants had "to go through a portal with their left foot and go under a ladder", explains the professional course on Event Organization, which promoted this initiative.

Guests were also able to "toast with water and read some explanations regarding the most basic superstitions like having open umbrellas indoors," he adds.

Francisco Soares, director of the Pinheiro e Rosa Schools Group, was present and even “pronounced a new superstition: those who do not obey the director will have bad luck in love, work and studies,” says the organization.

In the end, "all received a diploma certifying their bold behavior against beliefs and superstitions."

This lunch was produced by the 1st year students of the Professional Event Organization course and served by their colleagues from the Restaurant and Bar course.
