place-to-the-southFrom a place south to the Sul Informação. As of today, our newspaper has a partnership with the opinion blog «Place to the South», which integrates, like opinionators permanent members, Bruno Inácio, Dália Paulo, Filomena Sintra, Gonçalo Duarte Gomes, Luís Coelho and Pedro Pimpão.

It is a group of people from different backgrounds and professions, from different party options, with divergent paths in life and who even, in some cases, did not even know each other personally.

But what is certain is that the blog «Place to the South», which includes at least three regular columnists from the Sul Informação – Gonçalo Gomes, Luís Coelho and Pedro Pimpão -, quickly became a success story in the region, due to the articles it has published, commenting in a fearless way on the hottest topics, in all sectors.

«Which takes 6 people from different geographies to find themselves in the space that doesn't have it – the websites – to write about the most varied topics having only as farol a cardinal position: the South?”, he asks, in the blog, about himself.

“The issue, as complex as it is, could be a candidate for being in a referendum bulletin. Its solution is what some might call a simple answer: Nothing and everything».

“Nothing, because most of us didn't know most of the rest. We have different backgrounds, different professions, different public activities and different interests».

«Everything, because it is from nothing, from the (im)probability of things, that everything is born, with infinite realities waiting to be built».

And that is how, from today onwards, «Place to the South» gains a space in the Sul Informação. To access the blog and read what your chroniclers write and comment on, just click on the button in the right column of our newspaper.

«With this partnership, we are only giving more visibility to a space for reflection and opinion that, even though it was created very recently, quickly gained great visibility and importance in the regional context. The Algarve lacks people who discuss it and think, in an impartial (or even passionate, why not?) and this blog is an excellent contribution to that», he explains Elisabete Rodrigues, director of Sul Informação.
