A man who was fishing at Praia de Faro without having the proper license, he was booked by the Maritime Police (PM) and saw his fishing rod seized by the authorities, “as a precautionary measure”.

The elements of this police force were this Wednesday in the bathing area of ​​the municipality of Faro, where they inspected 11 recreational fishermen, 10 of whom were in a legal situation. Only in one case was it necessary to raise a news report and seize the material used for fishing.

"During this action, three Spanish nationals who were duly licensed to catch live bait were also inspected," added the PM.

The inspection operation involved two agents and an all-terrain vehicle from the local Maritime Police Command Faro.
