There will be a «Vivo Presépio Vivo» and not even the Reis Magos, mounted on real camels, will be absent from the Lagoa Christmas Fair, which runs from Thursday to Sunday in the Largo do Auditório Municipal de Lagoa, between 10:00 and 20:00.
A moment of humor with Jorge Serafim, many activities and shows for different tastes are the main attractions of the program of the VI edition of the event.
The Union of Parishes of Lagoa and Carvoeiro and the Câmara de Lagoa, which organize the fair, bet on «the diversity of exhibitors, products and entertainment».
Thus, those who visit the event can count on historical recreations, reenactments, animal exhibitions, activities for children, birds of prey flight demonstration and the daily show «O Santa Claus and his Duendes».
These activities are joined by shows with different protagonists. On Thursday, at 15:00 pm, comedian and storyteller Jorge Serafim will star in a show of standup comedy, followed by a concert by João e Tierri, at 17 pm. On Friday, the fado singer from Lagos, Luana Velasques, takes the stage at 00 pm. On Saturday, at the same time, entertainment is guaranteed by Luís Galrito, followed by performances by the clown Salsinha (16:00 pm) and Ilze Van Zanten (15:30 pm) on Sunday and the last day of the fair.
Those who don't have a camel, but don't want to go on foot, will have a tourist train at their disposal, which will make stops in different parts of the city, to take visitors to the event, free of charge.
According to the UF of Lagoa and Carvoeiro, there are five stops, properly marked, at Rua do Centro de Saúde (in the Municipal Auditorium), Largo 5 de Outubro (next to the Senior Center), Rua Francisco Sá Carneiro (next to Lagoa Centro), in Cercas de São José (near Café Baia) and in the Che Lagoense district (next to the 3 D snack bar).
With this offer, União de Freguesias and Câmara de Lagoa hope to attract «a few thousand people, similar to what happened in 2015».
