Portimão will bring together local groups and others from neighboring municipalities on Twelfth Night, starting at 21 pm, at Alameda da Praça da República, to sing the Janeiras.

In 2017, the Câmara de Portimão invited the «Estrelas do Barlavento» – Traditional Portuguese Music Singing Group, Coral de Portimão Group, Cantares do Parchal Group, Senior Tuna from the Alvor Community Center, «As Figueirinhas e os Amigos da Figueira, Fonte Nova Singing Group, Janeiras Group of the Folklore Ranch of Calvário, Voices and Singing of ICP – Senior University and Singing Group of the Confraria do Medronho «Os Monchiqueiros».

The event, which will be presented by radio host Fátima Peres, will also feature the offer of Bolo Rei and Jeropiga. If the weather doesn't help, the initiative will take place in the foyer of the Portimão Museum.
