UA film about football, a fado concert or a play are some of the proposals for the 7th edition of the Semana dos Artistas, which takes place from 12 to XNUMX November, at Sociedade Recreativa Artística Farense (SRAF).
This Artists' Week is an «artistic and cultural event that, since its first edition, aims to cover a wide range of cultural areas».
SRAF, as a means of cultural dissemination in the region, aims, with its actions, «to showcase projects known to the public and new values in the regional and national panorama, inviting partners and the general public to enjoy its events in a centenary space, unique in the city of Faro», says the SRAF.
This Artists' Week marks the end of the festivities that took place throughout 2016 within the scope of the SRAF's 110th Anniversary commemorations.
The Artists' Week also has partnerships with FARO 1540 – Association for the Defense and Promotion of the Environmental and Cultural Heritage of Faro, from the Film Club of Faro and the group Danças do Mundo ao Sul, cultural entities in the region.

About the Farense Artistic Recreative Society (SRAF):
The SRAF was founded in 1906 and its foundation is linked to Montepio dos Artistas de Faro, existing since 1856.
It was created with the aim of providing its members with activities related to culture and recreation, since then it has been the stage for theater, singing, dance, music, literature and cinema events. Since 1994, it has also been the venue for the “Os Artistas” bar.
