Singer Sérgio Godinho will present, on November 30, at 21 pm, at the Cine-Teatro Louletano, an "unpublished" show, in which a set of themes from his repertoire will be performed by pianist Filipe Raposo e o Together of Loulé Flutes.
This is, therefore, «an absolute debut of a formation with these sound characteristics and a unique moment in the reinterpretation of songs that inhabit our imagination but that we have never heard in this musical format», says the organization.
The arrangements for this formation of baroque characteristics were made by Filipe Raposo, the selection of themes being carried out in collaboration with Sérgio Godinho with the concern of choosing the songs that, being representative of his creation, would best adapt to such a specific accompaniment as this .
«The result is surprising and captivating, opening a new door in the discovery of themes such as «The rooster owns the eggs», «The elixir of eternal youth», «Pictures of fire», «Let's dance in the world» or «Beware of imitations,” adds the organization.
This concert is part of the cycle «O Longe é Aqui». This Cine-Teatro Louletano initiative aims to «promote stimulating encounters and launch creative challenges between, on the one hand, renowned national figures and, on the other, artists and cultural groups/associations from the municipality of Loulé linked to the performing arts, with special emphasis on music in its various quarters».
In this sense, the Ensemble de Flutas de Loulé is one of these groups, which was born in December 1994 as a result of the initiative of students from the School of Music of the Municipality of Loulé, under the guidance of Professor Francisco Rosado.
This group has recorded so far three CDs with plays from the Middle Ages to the XNUMXth century and has participated in all editions of the «Ancient Music Meetings of Loulé – Francisco Rosado» having also performed all over the country in an academic context, in churches and in other spaces and cultural events.
In this presentation with Sérgio Godinho and Filipe Raposo, the collective will be directed by professor Ana Figueira. Tickets for this concert/recital cost 12 euros and can be purchased at the Cine-Teatro Louletano ticket office or here.
