The TV show about the car world «The Grand Tour», which was recorded at the Autódromo Internacional do Algarve (AIA), in Portimão, premiered on the 18th of November on the streaming platform "Amazon Prime". The first episode includes a comparative test between a Porsche Spyder 918, a McLaren P1 and a Ferrari LaFerrari.

This was the first time that, with the agreement of the three brands, this comparison was made between some that are considered the best cars in the world, done «uniquely and exclusively» on the Algarve track.

«During this period, despite the confidentiality agreement, the trio of presenters did not fail to share with their thousands of fans, on social networks, some photographs of the footage taken at the Autódromo do Algarve», explains the AIA.

The filming that had the Autódromo Internacional do Algarve and the Serra de Monchique as its backdrop, had the presence of a large technical team and resources that did not go unnoticed.

After the controversial dismissal of the BBC presenter in March 2015, and all the suspense surrounding the new program, the return of Clarkson and his companions made the first episode of «The Grand Tour» already one of the most usual visas.

«Although it is still only available online, for the US, UK, Germany, Austria and Japan, there are already countless reviews and sharing on social media about the return of this much-acclaimed trio», says the Autódromo do Algarve.

Between explosions, tanks, camels, pharaohs and references to James Bond, the trailer “The Grand Tour” also features images of the Alfa Romeo 4C Spider, Aston Martin Vulcan or Maxda MX-5 trials.
