charityThis Thursday, the 3rd of November, AMAL – the Algarve Intermunicipal Community and the Lagos City Council inaugurated the first branch integrated into InvestAlgarve, the Algarve Region's Economic and Social Development Support Network.

Integrated in the Municipal Office, the InvestAlgarve branch will provide information on investment support programs, designate spaces available for the installation of companies, support the mitigation of business ideas and duly refer entrepreneurs to a network of specialized mediators.

This new service «comes to reinforce the service provided by the municipality to entrepreneurs and investors interested in developing a business activity in the municipality of Lagos or in the Algarve region», says AMAL.

The completion of the first branch of the InvestAlgarve Network in Lagos formalizes a process that has been developed over the past three years by a network created between more than 40 local and regional entities and coordinated by the Intermunicipal Community of Algarve – AMAL.

«Through the creation of partnerships and the strengthening of synergies between the municipalities and other entities involved, the network seeks to join forces in order to streamline procedures and encourage investment to be applied in the region», says AMAL.

The lines of action of the InvestAlgarve Network are based on a strategy of partnership and collaborative work between the various entities involved, and promote training and training sessions for technicians from the municipalities with the aim of sharing information and clarifying work methodologies.

For 2017, AMAL says it aims to «open more branches in the Algarve's municipalities, in order to strengthen this network and bring institutions closer to potential investors, in a project that strongly contributes to the dynamization and growth of the regional economy. ».

The InvestAlgarve Network is managed by AMAL but has the participation of more than four dozen regional entities, including the Regional Directorate of Agriculture and Fisheries of the Algarve, IAPMEI – Agency for Competitiveness and Innovation, the Employment and Training Institute Professional, the University of Algarve and the Business and Local Development Associations.
