NUNONuno Alexandrino will perform for a solo Organ concert, on November 18, at 21 pm, at the Igreja Matriz in Boliqueime, thus bringing the Algarve Organ Festival to this location.

 

For this concert, Nuno Alexandrino selected «a comprehensive program, but especially focused on Iberian music», says the organizers of the event. Manuel Rodrigues Coelho, Francisco Correia de Araújo, Pablo Bruna, Fray Jacinto do Sacramento, Fray Diego da Conceição and João de Sousa Carvalho will be some of the composers present at the concert.

Nuno Alexandrino began his musical studies at the Conservatory of Music in Aveiro. He has a degree in Organ from the Lisbon Superior School of Music, where he studied with Professor Antoine Sibertin-Blanc. He was a student at the Utrecht School of Arts (Netherlands), where he studied Organ with Willem Tanke. She studied with Edite Rocha during her Master's Degree in Musical Performance at the University of Aveiro.

He attended several Organ Masterclasses, with organists such as Franz Stoiber, Graham Barber, Willem Tanke, Fermmann Stinder, António Mário, Eugénio Amorim, José Uriol, Xavier Artigas, among others. He also maintains a regular musical activity, as a solo organist and also with choirs, integrating orchestras and chamber music ensembles.

This is not Nuno Alexandrino's first participation in this Organ Festival, as he also performed in the opening concert.

The Algarve Organ Festival – 2016 is organized by Associação Cultural Música XXI. It has the support of the Regional Directorate of Culture of the Algarve and the Municipalities of Faro, Loulé, Tavira and Portimão, with support for the dissemination of the Algarve Tourism Region and with communication partners Antena 2, Sul Informação and FM Street.
