The return of Superbikes to the Algarve International Autodrome track, in Portimão, between the 15th and 17th of September is the main novelty of the Algarve track programme, which will feature five international events throughout 2017.

Motorsport fans can also count on the Challenge V de V, with the endurance test «Creventic 24H de Portimão», both debuts on the Algarve circuit, with a new stage of the European Le Mans Series and the final of the Rotax 2017, proof of go-karting. Also guaranteed is a new edition of the Algarve Classic Festival.

European Le Mans SeriesThe FIM Superbike World Championship, a regular presence since the circuit's inauguration in 2008, returns to the Portimão circuit in a season comprising 13 rounds, with races in the Superbike, Supersport, Superport 300 and SuperStock1000 categories.

In addition to the race itself, an official test day is also confirmed, scheduled for 18 September, in which the teams remain at the Portimão circuit to test their bikes for the end of the season (the stage in Portimão will be the 10th of the championship ).

Another novelty is the Challenge V de V, «French championship consisting of separate races of six hours for CN prototype sports and for GT and LMP3», which will take place from the 28th to the 30th of April.

From the 25th to the 27th of August, the Creventic 24H of Portimão will debut, followed by the Superbike World Championship, in September, and the 4 hours of the European Le Mans Series, from the 20th to the 22nd of October. The Algarve Classic Festival will also take place on one of the weekends in October 2017.

The action takes place on the track at the Autodromo do Algarve, but not only. There is also a party at the Kartódromo Internacional do Algarve (KIA) which will host, for the third time, the 2017 Rotax World Final. World level in the six existing categories.
