UHFThe UHF band will liven up New Year's Eve in Quarteira, which will take place, as usual, in the city's Praça do Mar. The New Year's party promoted by the City of Loulé also includes the performance of the group «Who is Bob?» and fireworks.

The music starts playing at 10:30 am, with the ascent to the stage of the well-known Portuguese rock band. The UHF were born in 1978, in Almada, and had several hits, such as the songs “Cavalo de Corrida”, “Sarajevo”, “Porquê (Portuguese)” or “Vernacular (for a common man)”.

In October 2015, the UHF bands totaled 1700 concerts in Portugal and around the world, and have sold more than one million records, cassettes and DVDs. They are represented in over 100 collections with other artists, including the United States and Brazil.

After this first performance, there will be a collective toast to the new year, followed by fireworks. This is followed by the performance of "Who is Bob?", a group that emerged as a tribute to Bob Marley and his band The Wailers.

«It quickly became a regular presence at academic parties, and festivals all over the country, as well as abroad. Currently, he has extended the original idea to reggae and ska from all over the world: from Bob Marley to Manu Chao, from Kussondulola to Black Market, and other artists whose music reflects Bob's influences», described Câmara de Loulé.
Entry to the party is free.
