APPCThe students of the Pinheiro e Rosa Secondary School, in Faro, will run side by side with users of the Portuguese Association of Cerebral Palsy, in a solidarity relay. The event is scheduled for the 10th of November, at 11:00 am, at this educational establishment.

According to the event organization course at the Secondary Pinheiro e Rosa, which organizes the initiative, «the students of this school will form teams of three elements to which a trainee from APPC will be joined – Faro to compete in a relay that will have obstacles, wheelchair races and traditional game challenges».

During the event there will be a collection whose revenue will revert to the Portuguese Association of Cerebral Palsy.

The organization reveals that the teams classified in the first three places will receive symbolic prizes alluding to the S. Martinho court and all participants will be entitled to a diploma.

There are already 15 teams of high school students enrolled in the initiative, who made themselves available and included a person with cerebral palsy in their team. “For these students, more important than winning is to provide young people like them with the opportunity to share a different morning,” say the promoters of the initiative.

This event is organized by the 1st year students of the Professional Event Organization Course, of the Sports Management Course and has the support of the União de Freguesias da Sé and S. Pedro.
