«Sexuality in the 3rd Age» will be the subject of an awareness-raising action that the City Council of Silves will promote on the 25th of October.
The Municipality's Social Action sector will promote the debate on this topic in two sessions to be held at the Municipal Library, one for technicians from institutions that work with the elderly, scheduled for 10:00 am, and another for the general public, with special focus on the municipality's senior population, starting at 15 pm.
The sessions will be hosted by sexologist Vânia Beliz, "who will talk about the importance of intimacy/sexuality in the 3rd age and demystify some prejudices, in order to facilitate the overcoming of obstacles that may arise in this age group".
Participation is free, but in the case of the morning session, directed at technicians, prior registration is required. on the Silves Chamber website.
