The “Versos Pintados” gathering will bring together poets and painters at the Dr. Estanco Louro Municipal Library, in São Brás de Alportel, on October 21, from 19 pm.
In the initiative, five painters – Jane Page, Ana Calheta, Eduardo Dias, Clara Vicente and Ricardo Inácio – will be inspired by poems by five São Brasense authors to create works.
The poets chosen to participate in the initiative were Felismina Mealha, Isabel Teixeira Pereira, Maria de Jesus Brito, Glória Marreiros and Goreti Nunes Ferreira.
Spanish guests from Madrid, from the Versos Pintados do Café Gijon Artistic Literary Association, will also participate in this gathering.
The initiative's program begins with the performance of the Museum's Friends Choir, continues with a dinner and, at 21:30 pm, several initiatives are scheduled: a get-together, a poetry recital and a painting exhibition.
