The Largo de São Francisco, in Faro, was the area most affected by the floods that today took place in the city. Source from the District Relief Operations Command (CDOS) confirmed to the Sul Informação, the existence of 10 incidents in the city to which “one or two firefighters” took part.

According to the CDOS, these teams were "jumping from occurrence to occurrence", since these "were not very significant". Largo de São Francisco, next to the Hotel School, turned out to be the area where the water reached a higher level, with cars partially submerged, such as the Sul Informação found out.

Much of the equipment from Feira de Santa Iria, which ended yesterday, was still in Largo de São Francisco during the floods, so some were also submerged.

CDOS also guaranteed that Faro it is the only place in the Algarve where there has been flooding.
