Silves will have a “Weekend with Flavor a Orange” and will present it on November 12th, at 10:00 am, at the city's Municipal Market.
During the presentation of this new event, which will take place between the 18th and 20th of November, they will be given to «know and taste the dishes presented by the “chefs” of the restaurants participating in this gastronomic weekend».
The tastings will be accompanied by wines from Silves and «local visitors or tourists will be able to see, in the market space, the main ingredient of the “Weekend with Flavor a Orange”, ie the orange, of which Silves is the capital» , reveals the City Council.
This initiative “inserts itself in the municipality's strategy to promote the “Silves, Capital da Orange” brand, launched last April and which has been implemented, seeking to give greater notoriety to the orange product, emblematic of this municipality and to the its producers», adds the municipality of Silvense.
Regarding the "Weekend with Orange Flavor", the municipality reveals that it will be "a weekend entirely dedicated to gastronomy made using this product" which "will allow to highlight the unique and recognized quality characteristics, for many years, to orange and other citrus fruit produced in this county, namely the sweetness, quantity of juice and delicacy of exceptional aromas».
