Seven individuals, between 20 and 40 years old, were detained this morning by the PSP for drug trafficking, after house searches in Portimão, which focused mainly on Bairro Cruz da Parteira, announced the Public Prosecutor's Office of the District of Faro.
During the searches, carried out within the scope of an inquiry directed by the Public Ministry, of the 2nd Section of Portimão of the DIAP of Faro, and where drug trafficking crimes are being investigated, suspects were seized “products suspected of being hashish and heroin”.
"The defendants are suspected of dedicating themselves to the custody and sale of these narcotics," adds the Prosecutor's Office.
Following the arrests, the seven detainees will now be presented to the Criminal Investigation Judge to apply coercive measures.
The inquiry is subject to judicial secrecy.
