A Spanish woman who fell 30 meters from a cliff at Praia do Submarino, in Alvor, Municipality of Portimão, was rescued by the lifeguard of the Instituto de Socorros a Náufragos de Ferragudo and by the Maritime Police yesterday, Wednesday. The 40-year-old victim is said to have fallen while walking along the crest of the cliff.
The alert for the fall of a person on a beach of difficult access by land in the Alvor area, known as Praia do Submarino, was given at 16:35 pm. A lifeguard from the ISN Station and a Maritime Police vehicle were dispatched to the location.
The woman was eventually removed from the site by land, with the help of a crew member of the ISN vessel, the Maritime Police, the Fire Department of Portimão and INEM, having been transported to the Portimão unit of the Centro Hospitalar do Algarve.
