The new era of the Municipal Swimming Pools in Lagoa has already begun, with the usual proposals for physical exercise, aimed at the general population, ranging from learning classes for children aged nine months, to activities designed for seniors.
The period for new registrations in the swimming pools is open and those interested can join by going to the Lagoon sports infrastructure accompanied by a personal identification or the person who is legally responsible for the future user, in the case of underage users. The registration fee is 8 euros.
The Municipal Swimming Pools of Lagoa, built in 2001, have a six-lane swimming pool, a learning and rehabilitation tank, and a hydro-gymnastics pool and Spa, with water jets and a jacuzzi for leisure and therapy purposes. It also has male and female changing rooms, with showers and private cabins.
Here, you can practice various activities, including swimming, water aerobics, hydrotherapy, adapted swimming, water polo and synchronized swimming. Whoever prefers, can use the infrastructure freely.
The pools have a team with «diversified training and experiences», capable of responding «to the educational and training needs of the young population», according to the Câmara de Lagoa.
The employees of the sports equipment also guarantee «the healthy occupation of free time, the response to health maintenance needs, also contributing to the dynamization and encouragement of specialized sports and that users are satisfied with the quality offered, both in the use of facilities, as in the act of registration, where all necessary information and guidance is provided'.
